 Mark Latymer,
Associate Director, IIIb/IV Trials Pfizer, Inc., United Kingdom With a multidisciplinary background which included being a roadie and toy safety tester Mark joined the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1997 working as a Consumer Health Sales Representative for Schering-Plough (SP), within a year he developed his territory to be the top territory in the UK. After 3 years with SP Mark used his bonuses to take a 13 month career break to travel the World before joining Theradex a specialist Oncology CRO in 2001 working as lead CRA monitoring Phase II & III clinical trials in both France and the UK for 2 years. Subsequently Mark moved to Cmed Clinical Research Services within a business development role prior to returning to operational clinical trials with Pfizer in February 2004 managing Oncology studies across several programs from Phase I to III. In May 2005 Mark joined Pfizer�s European Phase IIIb/IV Unit managing late phase studies from concept to publication in the indications of epilepsy, pain, incontinence and intensive care candidemia/candidiasis. Moving away from a focus on clinical trial execution Mark joined Pfizer�s European CNS Medical Affairs team in May 2009 as a Scientific Adviser.Appearing: Day Two - Thursday 3 December 2009 14.00 Site & investigator management strategies for IIIb/IV trials• Clearly communicating the studies value proposition to patients
