Look back at 2008
The first annual Health Technology Assessment World Europe, held in association with the London School of Economics has established itself as the must attend event for senior directors working within pharmacoeconomics, pricing, market access and outcomes research.
With such overwhelmingly positive feedback for the event, it is perhaps no surprise that the majority of delegates confirmed their re-attendance for 2009. This feedback augurs well for an even stronger delegate attendance later this year.
Industry attendance - of the 100 or so organisations taking part 65% came from the world’s leading drug manufacturers including, GlaxoSmithKline, Genzyme, Roche, Eli Lilly MSD and Pfizer. In addition a number of HTA agencies, private health insurers and public health bodies took part including: NICE, SMC, CAHTAR, CVZ, DIMDI, LFN, Danish Board of Health, BlueCross BlueShield and CADTH – see appendices for full attendee list.
Job areas - as well as being well attended, Health Technology Assessment World Europe also had a delegate attendance of impressive seniority; 65% of the attendees were at director level or above. The conference also had a number of participants at CEO and President Level.
The remaining titles consisted of senior managers working within pharmacoeconomics, pricing, market access and outcomes research.
