Dr Peter Kolominsky-Rabas,

Priv.-Doz. Dr. Kolominsky-Rabas is the Managing Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Health Technology Assessment and Public Health, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. Dr. Kolominsky-Rabas received his M.D. degree �summa cum laude� from the University of Muenster and his Ph.D. in �Epidemiology and Outcomes Research� from the University of Erlangen in 2003, where he completed his clinical training in the Departments of Neurology, Neuroradiology, Psychiatry and Rehabilitation. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Bayreuth and is Senior Lecturer in Public Health and Outcomes Research at University of Erlangen since 2003. Dr. Kolominsky-Rabas established the community-based Erlangen Stroke Register (ESR) in 1994, which is the designated reporting centre for the Federal Health Monitoring for cerebrovascular diseases to the German government. His research interests are in the field of health outcomes research, health economics and management. From 2005-2008 Dr. Kolominsky-Rabas was Head of Department �Health Economics and Outcomes Research� in the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) in Cologne, which is the main scientific advisory body to the Federal Government and the Federal Joint Committee (GBA) representing the German Statutory Health Insurance System. During this time Dr. Kolominsky-Rabas was deeply involved in shaping the HTA conception for the German health care system and all strategic matters.
