Rahul Garella,
Senior Vice President, European Business
Glenmark Generics

Rahul Garella is an experienced pharmaceutical executive with more than fifteen years of experience in the pharmaceutical business across the segments of Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and generic formulations. He currently heads up the European generics business for Glenmark Generics Europe Limited and is involved in setting up businesses for the company in Western Europe starting with the UK but progressively encompassing other major EU markets. Prior to taking up this role, he was responsible for the European API business for Glenmark which again was a start-up up from scratch about 4 years ago. Rahul is an Electrical Engineer and an MBA by qualification and enjoys the challenge of creating something new and working for Glenmark which is one of the few companies which span both generic businesses and innovation lead research. Glenmark won the SCRIP 2008 awards for the Best Pharma company in the world (SME segment) and the Best company in emerging markets.
