James Chennells is Head of Global Strategic Sourcing Pharma Development Services within the Bayer Healthcare procurement organization. James heads a team responsible for outsourcing of services to support the BayerSchering Pharmaceuticals Development orgainsation. James has a BSc in Biology from Southampton University and started his 14 years in the Pharmaceutical and CRO industry as a CRA with Icon. James then moved in to Business Development with Covance initially in contact management, proposal writing and costing. James subsequently took on an Account Management role within Covance, a role he also performed at Kendle. In 2003 James joined Bayer as Regional Head External Supplier Management (Europe and Overseas) and took up his current role in 2007.
