Maria has a BSc (Hons) Pharmacology, she started in the Pharmaceutical industry in 1989 as a Clinical Data Manager at Cyanamid UK. After time in a similar CDM role at Glaxo she joined the CRO sector as a Manager of CDM at ClinTrials Research. In 1994 she moved to IBAH (now Omnicare) to head up the CDM group and then the Project Management department. Having gained experience in both sectors of the industry she had the opportunity to join Amgen to establish the European outsourcing function in 1999. Since joining Amgen, Maria has held a number of roles spanning outsourcing, clinical site contracting, document management and CDM. Currently Maria leads a global team who are responsible for supporting internal teams and external business partners in the CRO, Laboratory and Imaging sectors while they are working together. In addition her team are involved in clinical site contracting and payments, providing Fair Market Value Assessments for clinical site agreements.
