After obtaining my Masters in Electrical Engineering from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, USA and working as a hardware designer, I started developing software for 8 bit microcontrollers and never looked back. For over ten years, I have been developing software and managing software projects for the life sciences using open source technologies and agile management whenever possible. Current area of research is bioinformatics specifically utilizing open source technologies and the cloud environment for data management, visualization and security of life science applications and data. Currently living outside of Philadelphia, PA with my wife and two children.
