Ian has 11 years experience in drug development during in which time he has worked for the UK Government, CROs and Pharmaceutical companies. His varied career includes positions such as laboratory scientist, CRA, Project Manager and Clinical Scientist. He has worked across a wide variety of therapeutic and geographic areas including US, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Pacific Rim. For the last 4-5 years, he has been employed within Clinical Programs at Shire Pharmaceutical Development on both European and Global projects outsourced to a number of the major CRO’s. Currently, Ian is managing a cross-functional team as an Associate Director, Clinical Programs delivering a pivotal phase III study and an open-label extension in support of Shire’s first NDA in Japan.
