Crawford Brown | Chief Executive Officer Eden Biodesign, a member of The Watson Group
Crawford co–founded Eden Biodesign in 2000 and prior to this he was Director of Product Development responsible for developing and manufacturing the biotech product pipeline at Celltech–Medeva. Among his achievements Crawford managed and led a successful pan–European submission for a complex recombinant vaccine which included an EMEA sponsored pre–approval inspection. Crawford has held senior technical management positions in both biotech and pharmaceutical companies and has been actively engaged in commercial biopharmaceutical development for over 20 years.
Since 2003, Eden Biodesign raised over £10m of expansion capital lead by Stephens Inc. before being acquired in January 2010 by Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE: WPI). Eden Biodesign is now designated as Watson’s Centre of Excellence for Biologics. Today, Crawford is leading Watson’s Global Biologics Strategy and with well over a decade of experience in producing a wide range of complex biopharmaceuticals, Eden Biodesign provides Watson with a strong foundation for the establishment of a leadership position in global biologics.
